The job specs will be posted at the Microsoft careers pages soon (the only official source for recruiting at MSFT I might add) but I have a few positions on my team in the UK and thought I would mention it to readers. The first role is a technical product manager who will develop specifications [...]

I feel like I am being fed on a high volume, high power hose pumping liquid opportunities at me. It’s hard to keep up, rather like you can’t breath pure Oxygen (sic pun). I know some people get lost in big organizations. I seem to thrive in them. Here are some tips for what’s working [...]

Another good blog from Scott Hanselman (also recently joined MSFT) about how he uses Outlook to get organized.
There is a good article in Wired magazine this month profiling David Allen of the GTD movement.
Foot Note: Yesterday I posted a link to JD Meier’s excellent Patterns and Practices for New Hires. A friend mailed [...]

I am extremely pleased to being able to announce that the SourceClear software (Oxygen Security Platform and the Security Life applications) will now be built at Microsoft and that I will be joining as a full-time employee heading up the ACE Services group in Europe and product managing the software. Many people often start these [...]

About 10 months ago I left a well paid job running Foundstone in the States, headed to my holiday house in France and decided to bootstrap a security software company. I wanted to create a company that I would be proud of and the sort of company I have always wanted to work for. I have learnt [...]

Trying to compete in the race with Google to hire talent must be hard. This advert is the best recruiting approach I have seen in ages. Its for careers at Meetup.com and incidentally created with Google docs and originally found at Joel on Software.

Here is a post for those that found this blog via the RSA Conference website.
Friends and ex-employees often ask me questions on a very similar theme; ”if you were looking for a job where would you look?”. I am of course fully engaged launching an early stage startup but I have been asked the question enough times to [...]
