Carric and I have worked together for the last 8 years. I first saw customers reverence for him when I moved to Atlanta while working for ISS in 2000. Carric was a contractor at Coke and I was explicitly told by his boss that he was the best network security guy they had ever seen. The implication was that when you hire him make sure he’s looked after. He is still the best network security guy I have ever met today so I am delighted he will be part of the Microsoft Information Security Team from June 1st, 2008.
Welcome to the team big man (he’s big in very sense of the word!).
We really are “kicking ass and taking names” (subject of a future post).

Interesting thought: Mr Curphey’s sole purpose at MS is to be an executive recruiter (come to the dark side, my son…) and make new hire announcements. =)

@Lost: I think we are watching many different time lines… not just one. The people at the end of the last show were all the Dharma people come back to life … basically all the dead people who were in the grave Loc fell into, a while back.
Lost is a really great show, but I wish they’d tie some of it together as it is getting really confusing.
I think the main point of the show, however, is that many different things had to happen just right for each of us to be where we are today, so we should be thankful and in awe at how complex the universe really is.
Just my 2-cents.
