The job specs will be posted at the Microsoft careers pages soon (the only official source for recruiting at MSFT I might add) but I have a few positions on my team in the UK and thought I would mention it to readers. The first role is a technical product manager who will develop specifications for our technology and work with engineering and customers to implement a product management process. The second role is for software security technologists (architects, threat modelers and code reviewers), specifically focused on .NET technologies. This role is for someone who thrives on operating at a code level and may well include building prototypes and security tools as part of the job. These roles are in the UK (relocation maybe considered for exceptional candidates). Other roles across Europe and into Russia will follow later.

Sounds great…just wish I had the quals. I love American companies ’cause they are focused, driven and take care of their employees. Unfortunately, I’ve been stuck working for a UK organisation since I came back from the US 4 years ago. No career development, no training, no investment.
I really need to get out of this. I have done what I can afford to do - the odd cert here and there and that’s taken me up to Project Management level here, so I can finally make a difference and get things moving. Yet your post has reminded me that I can go so much further and faster and achieve so much more if I get myself into a company that invests in the employee. Thanks for the motivation even though not a job!
