This Metric Shows Behavioral Change

speed01-t A week ago I posted that Metrics Should Change Behavior and used what I think is a clever play on statistics to demonstrate the art of positioning. You can see the video used here.  Thinking about it a little more it seems to me that a good metric should possess two qualities. The first is that it should change future behavior and the second is that it should show changes in previous behavior.

The following caught my eye as a superb metric showing changes in previous behavior.

After the smoking ban in all public places in Scotland in 2006, hospital admissions  due to heart attacks are down a whopping 17%.
