SilverLight

If you ever doubted SilverLight would be able to deliver superb web UI’s here is proof: Tafiti.

Note: It’s shame the relevance of the search results are so poor because this would have me move from Google in an instance.

Check out this SilverLight video from Mix07. Blows me away. When will security tools look this exciting?

shame it’s tied to specific platforms, I just get a message saying that it’s windows or Max OS X only.

Interesting that this is CBS. The really interesting question is whether they would have shut down user comments for the Dan Rather fake Air National Guard documents.

It would be nice to see more openness for correcting stories based on user community comments, but this probably will require a step back from the “we generate, you consume” content.

Any bets on XSS/XSRF opportunities on the site? Say, to get a South Park clip shown? ;-)

    Rory,

Yeah MacOS and Windows only althogh there is a Mono implementatioin for Linux on the way. http://www.mono-project.com/news/archive/2007/May-05.html

Ted, XSRF is rife in Web 2.0 apps. That said its still an attack on a single user and all that risk stuff. The following “discussion” about XSS and what google should do abut it is really interesting. I am with Google!

Yeah, I saw the Matasano post.

Perhaps it’s just a feeling, but there seems to be a stampede to Web 2.0, just like there was in the 90s with the rush to “e” - eCommerce, eBanking, b2b, b2c. Security is an afterthought if it’s thought of at all.

Then again, anyone in the security field has job security!
