A unified open source security agent that everyone WOULD use?
Could it be true that a unified open source security management agent would ever be accepted? It would actually make a lot of sense. It would stop the squabbles over exchange formats, all SEIM’s would actually have a chance of working and we could start to connect people, process and technology. And security vendors could sell more connected products. Its almost a JVM for the industry…..sadly I doubt it will ever come true but if I were building a desktop security product I would watch this space.
